- in reply to: McAfee Antivirus #11582
Thanks Rob,
some antivirus indeed don’t really like Tabbles… very little we can do about this :O
in reply to: Global hotkey alt+c #11577Hi Michal,
no unfortunately. Mapping global hotkeys is not an easy task and we really can’t make user-configurable.
in reply to: can't autotag file that contains… #11544Hi there,
I’ve just made a few tests and figured out what the problem is.
To make a long story short, if you need an auto-tagging rule that is triggered when a file is put into a certain folder AND the file name contains certain letters (e.g. “-07”), then create/edit the auto-tagging rule from Tools > Auto-tagging rules
We’re working to fix the issue of creating the rule while right-clicking on a folder.- This reply was modified 7 years, 4 months ago by Andrea.
in reply to: How to delete the DB and create new from scratch #11518Hi Armin,
the fastest way to do that is renaming (or deleting) the files:
tabbles4.mdf
tabbles4_log.ldfin:
C:\Users\[your Windows user]\AppData\Local\Tabbles\LocalDb
You need to do this with Tabbles turned off and maybe you’ll have to restart your pc after shutting Tabbles down as the LocalDB will still be running (and keeping them locked) after Tabbles is turned off.
in reply to: OneNote Integration #11440Hi guys,
we hear you, we’ll look into this 🙂
in reply to: Help us translate Tabbles! #11189Hi Ursus,
You wrote:
1) it seems there are some keys existing in French but in english: should I remove them?
– those are deprecated, so you can delete them or leave them there… in any case they’re not used any longer.2) “detached disk” is it when the disk is not connected to the system such as a distant disk unconnected or an unplugged usb key?
– Yes, that’s what it is.Thanks!
AndreaHi,
maybe what you’re looking for is in Options > Auto-tagging rules ?
in reply to: Tabbles does not see the encrypted disk #11158Yes, the full path.
If you’re in sharing group, in V4, Tabbles saves the path for every machine where the file is tagged.in reply to: Tabbles does not see the encrypted disk #11106Hi there,
we never made any test with encrypted disk. In our next release (Tabbles 4) we won’t use the DiskID anymoer, we’ll release a beta later today.
in reply to: Cloud registration times out #11076Hi Brady,
we have just fixed it.
Thanks!

in reply to: Tabbles performance with large numbers of files #11065Hi xkat,
if you have 200 tabbles and the quick-open is slow, then I guess this is a database quary that is slow. Are you using the cloud or your own SQL serve?
in reply to: MSSQL resources #11062Microsoft SQL Express uses a bit over 500 MB of RAM.
If it’s just you, at home, I suggest you stick to the Cloud… else, I suggest you find a Windows based NAS where you can have MS SQL Server running.in reply to: Tabbles performance with large numbers of files #11061Hikari: it seems you’ve met a memory leak
xkat: that slow-down is much likely due to the GUI slowin down, not to database/network slowdown, as all the tabbles are already in the tree, even if they’re hidden. What videocard do you have?
in reply to: Finding files from one PC in another #11060Hi Hikari,
I believe this won’t work… have you tested it by now?
