Thanks guys for the conversation – solid answer from you Hikari 🙂
Xkat: what is exactly the problem you’re looking to solve? I’m asking this while the database querying performances have been surprisingly good (and indeed, we have a good technical understanding for that and therefore we’ve been able to optimize that quite a lot), on the other the shell extensions, which was re-written by 3 different people using 3 different techniques, has proven to be unstable slow, and generally unpredictable.
Do you have issues with the shell extension(s)?
in reply to: Can't purchase the software #11058Hi there,
I’ve replied you per email.
BR,
Andreain reply to: Tabbles performance with large numbers of files #11028Hi there,
2.5gb of memory is definitely not ok. Whether you started an auto-tagging rule that was scanning your whole hard-drive (in that case, as the rule is over, the RAM should go back on track) or you’re hit a memory leak.
Let me know!
Andrea
in reply to: error connecting to database #10966Are you using the Cloud or your own SQL Server?
If you’re using your own, you may want to check if it’s running.in reply to: Shell Extension, Overlay and add-in problems #10965Hi Marc,
my guess is that something went wrong with the installer. I’d try reinstalling and checking the installer log.

Andresin reply to: Can Tabbles read Mac Tags? #10964Nope.
We’re currently not planning to do any work on Mac whatsoever.
in reply to: Forum topics not up-to-date? #10963That’s correct: caching works differently if you’re logged in or not. You should always be logged in.
in reply to: Compatible with Windows 10? #10962Hi guys,
we haven’t tested it yet… if it doesn’t work on Win 10 now, we’ll make sure it will.
BR,
Andreain reply to: Tabbles browser integration #10844Hi there,
it should still work, but we haven’t setup the installer to register the protocol. If you do it manually (it’s explained somewhere in the manual or in the forum) it should still work.
BR,
Andreain reply to: forum editor seems to not parse html #10674I hope that now it has been fixed… I’ve just disabled a plugin that was probably interfering – please let me know!
BR,A.in reply to: forum editor seems to not parse html #10672You’re right! Let me look into that… If you have any hint, you’re most welcome to share.
BR,A.in reply to: How to backup/restore tabbles? #10671Hi there,
the config file contains the path to your database as well the user and pass for it. Everything else is stored in the db.BR,A.in reply to: Multilanguage – Translation: what and howto #10636Hi there,
I hope I’m not writing too late 🙂Let’s see:Zeta is running, but so is visual studio if I reboot. (Which is actually better?)Use Zeta, definitely! When I opened the file in sublime, I noticed that many tags were offset, in zeta, there are also many blanks (new version).Use Zeta! What is this Sublime? What are the tags? Yes, there are many blanks cause the 3.0 hasn’t been localized yet. Will the resources be sorted by key name when I export? Are any designations obsolete.Should developer comments be translated too? Do you have a solid link to .resx String formatting? (var) = string and {int} number? What are your own specifications (although I infer some), is there more available? Are there unacceptable characters or escape sequences? We don’t know about this… we just know that Zeta works for the job, so I suggest you stick to it!Less technical, while I don’t use french software, There were things I wanted to rephrase, semantically there are things I would change from the wiki. (If that’s open? Where/who to discuss?)Please discuss with me 🙂You’re more than welcome to help with the Wiki too – please write me at andrea at tabbles.net and I’ll make you an account on the wiki.I’d like to take charge, let me know asap. I’ll share a dropbox link or you can diff. One of typos, other + smoother semantics. You can attach the file here too… that should be easier? Thanks a lot 🙂Andreain reply to: Warning to new Users #10320in reply to: Tabbles 3 Explorer Integration #10319@TheeDragon: please write us at bugs -at- tabbles.net
The issue depends on the installer of the shell extension failing, we thought we fixed it for all, but apparently we didn’t.
But can you please confirm you have the .net framework 4.5 installed? Please check here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653- AuthorPosts
