Hi there,
correct, Tabbles 5 can not be portable.
in reply to: Windows Explorer Crashes #15910Hi there,
we can’t really help with Windows Explorer crashes, this could be due to many issues, typically another application or antivirus, you’d need a sysadmin to look into it.
Hi there,
just saw this now, our Cloud server was down for maintenance for a while, it should work again by now.

Normally you can do it in Windows Explorer, the tagging should follow.
Hi,
there is no way to have an “OR” there.
You can have an OR using a regular expression:

in reply to: Best strategy for associating name with alias #15823Hi there,
Thanks for the encouraging words 🙂
Not really… but keep in mind that you can nest (drag’n’drop), rename at rearrange tags at any time, so don’t worry about this and let your tag tree grow organically.
in reply to: Insert comments via command line? #15822Hi there,
we don’t have that at the moment, but we’ll keep this in mind for future developmens.
Hi guys,
not really… Tabbles is designed to help you forgetting about links. We’re not planning any support for that, also for technical reasons.
in reply to: Exceeding the tag count limit. #15788Hi nislaw,
The 500 tags limite is a rule of thumb thing, you can probably get to 1000, but you’ll start feeling the slugginess.
You may want to consider using comments on files, cause the comments are searcheable too in Tabbles.
We even created a script to convert tags to to comments: https://tabbles.net/wiki/index.php?title=Tabbles_Manual_(EN)#Convert_tags_to_comments
in reply to: Moving Files when Tabbles has not Started #15739Hi there,
- in a database, see here: https://tabbles.net/wiki/index.php?title=Tabbles_Manual_(EN)#Using_Tabbles_Local_.28runs_on_Microsoft_SQL_Server_LocalDb.29
- No: the shell extension that tracks file movement, does so also when Tabbles is not running (as long as it’s properly installed) and logs movements in a file inside %appdata%\Tabbles\ . It’s recommended anyway that you keep Tabbles always on and minimised in the icon tray.
in reply to: Problem Tabbles Create user #15723Hi there,
the registration server has been down, now it’s up again.
Hi Shahab,
we don’t really have experience with this. We had issues a few years back to install Tabbles Database on an MSSQL server in Azure, because of some SQL statements were not supported.
We think that we could try is, to create a database on a regular MSSQL (we can do it for you) do a backup and then restore it in Azure. Could this work for you?
in reply to: Export comments? #15653You’ll need Microsoft SQL Management Studio.
in reply to: How to see / change registered devices? #15652I believe that we have taken care of this already?
Else please let us know.in reply to: Dark/Night interface theme #15651Thanks, we know about this.
