If there’s new file created in a folder to witch auto-tagging rule is refered, popup window appears along with some commands according to created file.

Besides "ADD TABBLES" and "LOCATE IN WINDOWS EXPLORER" command there are some more commands that could be very usefull when new file is created:
      – OPEN FILE (for example in order to open just downloaded file)
      – COPY PATH TO CLIPBOARD (for example in order to use copied path to import just dowloaded file to a program without need to locate it in a dialog window)

Is it possible to add these or one of these commands to tabbles popup window?

Thanks for the hint! We’re trying to keep that window as clean/small as possible… maybe a submenu?
Or maybe we should have an "advanced mode" showing 2 some more stuff like the one mention?

I think that font size of commands is quite big. With smaller font popup could be a bit tinier.

And also there are some commands that I have never used e.g.HISTORY or EDIT RULE. It could be replaced by more practical commands (OPEN, COPY PATH). But maybe it’s only my case. Small research could show us which popup commands people prefer.

Advanced mode is nice idea to solve it.

      Hello Rasty!

Please make this excersize with me: try and split the problem from the solution .
What I mean is, try and give us a couple of situation when you need those functions. If you do this and we understand your pain, maybe we can come up with a better/easier solution

      Ok

I use a specific folder to store ALL newly created files (downloaded files, screenshots, saved pictures, newly created documents,….).
This folder is like a "sorting hub" where all newly created files are "waiting" for me to link em with a specific tabble.
That’s why I set Tabbles to watch this folder using autotagging rule.

When new file is created/downloaded in this folder, I usually want to perform one of these actions with the file:
      1) LINK MORE TABBLES to the file
      or
      2) OPEN the file immediately
      or
      3) COPY PATH of the file (in order to use it in a specific program)

While first one is already offered in a POPUP window, I miss other two commands mentioned above.

I only thought that these commands could be usefull for others users too. That’s all 🙂

In the next version I’ll make the popup configurable. You’ll be able to add "copy path to clipboard" and "open" to the popup, and remove "history" and "edit rule". (the latter is needed for discoverability so it must stay by default. The first will probably be removed by default).
