Hi all,
I am new to the forum and would like to say hello to all the members.
My question is the following:
English to Spanish.
Check-out all files contained in this tabble. Was this originally translated in to English from Danish? Because when I try to translate this it makes little sense to me. Being that "Check-out" is a very ambiguous word and is widely used in the English language I need to know what action it is meant to represent? Is it: inspect or verify? or check and as in… tick with a cross?
I have a feeling it is meant to be select the files in the folder to be archived / saved. Is this correct? Thanks in advance.
P.S. Is there anyone else working on Spanish translation? 🙄"Check-out" means "export". You’re right it’s a poor choice of words; apologies.
The purpose of the function is to let you create a zip file containing files and their tags, which can then be imported by someone else keeping the tags.

About a spanish translation: to my knowledge there is nobody working on it. I’m sure Andrea will be able to tell you more about this.

I was looking at that last week and as we ‘lost’ the collaboration feature a few releases ago I can’t see any way to import the zipfile. Am I missing it somewhere?

Am I missing it somewhere? You’re right, I removed the button and forgot to put an entry in the menu. I didn’t think somebody was using it. I’ll put it on for 1.3.10.
I want the answers for translation purposes only. I am messing about with the software but have not had time to explore it in-depth yet. I thought the the software has potential and would be good in Spanish as there is a vast number of people who would no doubt appreciate it. I am fluent in both languages. Some of the entries are hard to translate because of the translation in to English. NOt meant to criticise anyone on this, just that I thought it would help to understand the usage of the interface. I personally think this is a great program. It is an answer to my prayers. More and more now days people have tons of stuff on their computer (Me included). Lots of photos and music…The job is finding all the files with windows explorer…I think you have filled a gap where Microsoft has left in second place… 😳
Thanks for the answers. Good to be in the forum…
Happy Xmas and all the best for the coming new year.
Nick 😀P.s. if I get stuck on another entry, can I knock on the door again?

Actually they are not translated into English from some other language; we have written everything in English from scratch. However we are not mother tongue. If you think we have phrased some sentence poorly, I’d appreciate if you’d let me know.
I assume you would change the term "check-out" to something else? "Export" maybe? (Which was my first choice.)
P.s. if I get stuck on another entry, can I knock on the door again?
Of course you can.
Thanks for your kind words, see you soon. 😉
Hi there,
Could you check the following:
Check-in should be changed to import.
What is: Quick halo black / white?

Regards, 😀Thanks for the feedback. I am adding "check-in -> import" and "check-out -> export" to the todo list.
The quick-halo is a halo that appears around the text, and which is quick to draw (as opposed to the shadow). Maybe I should change it to "black halo (quick)" .
The purpose of the halo is to increase tabble text readability when your wallpaper has high contrast or noise.

Hi,
I am half way,and got stuck on the following…
Shadow-file
Installation compromised
Remove all shadow-files in this tabble: does this refer to some kind of hidden/inaccessable file?
In every day scenarios this kind of terminology is easy to understand, but in this I.T computer realm it can take on a series of meanings other than the original. In order to produce a satisfactory translation I need as much data descrption as possible. Thanks.
😀When you close the last open tabble, the file level will disappear and you will get back to the underlying tabbles level.
I can’t grasp the significance of this action. Could you please detail what action occurs in this instance?
Thanks,
Nick 😀P.S. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the help.
🙂
