The crux:
Like in windows explorer, can you show the entire folder heirarchy in the sidebar?

On the left hand side, we see our current files and structure. As we dig into the folders, we can see the path on top, but can’t visualize it on the side. This makes navigation a lot slower, and it removes the ability to visualize the current structure all at once as I implement tags.

Given this is virtually already implemented in the top "address bar" would it be difficult to implement? If not, I’ll hold out for it. But if it’ll take a while, I’m afraid I might search for an alternative program that fits the need a bit better. :-/

What about some API? Plugins tend to add huge benefits with little cost to you, and this allows the community to develop features as needed. I don’t think my request could easily be developed as a plugin, but if you made the required interface possible, I most certainly would, or at least give it a try.
