Is there a way if I am in a Word 365 Windows 11 document to tag it, or do I need to go “out” to explorer to place the tag?

You can add custom document properties via:

File > Info > Properties > Advanced Properties

As far as I know, Word itself doesn’t let you add tags directly inside the document properties. What I usually do is save the file, then go to File Explorer, right-click, and add tags there. It feels a bit inconvenient, but that’s the only way I’ve found.

The best way is either through File → Info → Tags or by right-clicking the file in Explorer → Properties → Details tab → Tags.

Is there a way to add tags directly in a Word 365 document on Windows 11, or do I have to go outside to File Explorer to do it?”
