From inside Tabbles, I can see a list of files in a Directory and any associated Default and Assisgned Tabble Tags.

I can assign further Tags as required but there does not appear to be a method of filtering ‘untagged’ files. If I do -Tagged, it does not find anything. I think that this may be due to the default FileType tags.

Has anyone succeeded in doing this?

I saw an old 2010 post which suggests that you can sort by ‘Files with least number of Tags’ but this does not appear to be an option in the current version.

      Regards,

      Martin

      Hi Martin,

click the “tagged” tag: all the tags which are not in bold, are empty.

      Andrea,

Many thanks for the prompt response. This is a very useful tip but does not resolve my particular issue.
      Maybe an example would assist:-
In Tabbles I navigate to my Users\Downloads folder.
I can see all of the files and for each file I can see the default Filetype Tag ie. exe or zip.
Using the context menu I can add tags to each file in turn and can see the result in the above view.
Ideally, for any folder I would like to be able to filter or sort on the files which have no manually assigned tags.

      HI Martin,

      you can do that by:

      • Enter the folder in the Tabbles
      • Right click on the special tag “tagged” and do “subtract”

      (see attachment)

        Andrea,

Many thanks. I wasn’t dragging the ‘Tagged’ tag to the Search Bar with the Folder selected, I was just clicking on ‘Tagged’ then Subtracting it, which obviously was clearing the search.

The confusion arose because the the Tagged files listed just so happened to be in the folder originally selected. When I subtracted the ‘Tagged’ Tag, the list cleared.

        All now working as expected.

        Regards and thanks,

        Martin
