By |2010-04-13T11:30:41+01:00April 13th, 2010|English|

HELLO WORLD (I know I should be blogging about interesting stuff... that's coming too... soon :) ) Anyway, you can now also use regular expressions to auto-tag files/folders with Tabbles... quite a feature, isn't it? You can for example use them to match all the files with a certain extension (.pdf, .doc... etc) or files with names following a certain [...]

-> 1.4.9 – a not so minor update

By |2010-02-16T17:19:37+01:00February 16th, 2010|English|

(this is a boring post about an update - I'm working on a more interesting post about enterpreneurship and Microsoft...stay tuned) While this is a minor release, there are a couple nice things we added: --- the uninstall shortcut in the start menu (a big step for us, a small step for humanity  ) --- the "+" next to combinable tabbles, both in the body and in [...]

Hierarchical tabbles? (updated)

By |2009-10-05T07:31:00+01:00October 5th, 2009|English|

These days I am puzzled whether it is a good idea to introduce a hiearchy of tabbles.The problem I am trying to solve is the following: as the number of tabbles keeps growing, how do you find the tabble you need? In other words: suppose you already have a tabble in mind. How do you find it among 200 tabbles?The [...]

Integration of Tabbles with Windows Explorer is finally working. Now you can categorize files by right-clicking in Explorer. Here is a demo video:There is much more that could be done with regards to Explorer integration (e.g. we could add a column in Explorer showing, for each file, the tabbles to which it is attached), but this first feature is by [...]

Revamped quick-open dialog

By |2009-09-29T21:02:00+01:00September 29th, 2009|English|

Today I made a (much needed) major rewrite of the "quick-open-tabbles" and "quick-link" dialog boxes. You can now arrange tabbles in many different ways (by name, by color, by color name, be recent usage, etc.) in order to find the tabbles you need more easily without typing anything. (Previously, the dialog was very oriented towards typing. Not so anymore.)Here is [...]

By |2009-09-28T14:25:00+01:00September 28th, 2009|English|

As promised, a new arrange feature is available in Tabbles 1.1.7 beta1 (download it here).Here is a video of the feature:Arranging tabbles in different ways can be useful to quickly locate a tabble by eyeballing. For example, if you want to quickly locate the tabble you have opened ten minutes ago, you may want to sort tabbles by recent usage [...]
