thanks for the detailed answer.

In short: While I am worried I still consider Tabbles the best tool for what I am trying to do.
Also, the highlit tabbles for combinable non-empty lists is a cool thing.

The main thing I am waiting for right now is just a clean up of the main file pane and I think this is on its way if I got this right.

For everything else I just follow the main motto: wait and see.
