I’ve been tinkering with the free home version and so far love it. However, it doesn’t seem as though you’re still actively developing the program. Is that true? If not, when will the next update or version be released?
I’d like to upgrade to the home version and get some of my small business owner friends started on Tabbles but don’t want to jump the gun if the product isn’t going to be updated.
Thanks.
Hello Quirkygal,
the website needs some reworking (and we’ll do that soon). Until then, we’re updating our Facebook page:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Tabbles/152763993426
Anyway, the version 3.0 has been in beta for a while, you can get it here and it come with the following instructions:
https://tabbles.net/counter/click.php?id=18
– Tabbles 3 require Microsoft SQL Server: you can create the db in your LAN (from Tabbles) or try it on our Cloud server (you can register an account straight from there) which will be slooooow but you can get an idea.
– The file tracking works (!) in Vista, Windows 7 and 8 (no current plan to implement it in Win XP).
– For existing users: you can import your db from File > Tabbles’ database > Import data from XMLHappy new year everyone 🙂

Hi Bumblebee,
the “Express” version is free and we’re testing Tabbles mostly on it.
Check this out: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29062
BR,
AndreaIt is impossible to use hosted DB.
When starting last available version of desktop application (Tabbles_3_beta4), it is written:
application version is too old, because it uses MS SQL 10.0, when MS SQL 11.0 on a server.Hello Guy,
I would assume you’re asking about the SQL Server? Then you’ll need the file ENU\x64\SQLEXPRWT_x64_ENU.exe from here: http://www.microsoft.com/…x?id=29062
Ok?
BR,
A.Hi Andrea,
Would I need any of the others? After I posted the above message, I looked at some of the links you supplied on the BitsduJour offer page and it seemed that some other files were needed too.
I have never run SQL server before and things are not clear.
With warmest regards
Guy
With last version I could connect to SQL server.
But following bug is found:
If apply rule to folder (recursively rule, even for small folder), the process is started and continuing infinitely.Hello Guy,
using the file I mentioned, you’ll install the SQL Server and Management Studio (which you will shortly need to setup the database, there should be good instruction on our manual in the wiki). I don’t think you need anything else.
You’re welcome to add me on skype if you need more guidance: andrea.tabbles
Thanks,
A.Thanks, i got a log.
And seems process is in progress.
There are a lot of messages like
13:50:11:10 SPROC tagCtsNonRecursive: enter — applyRuleToFile — cts: ( ; \Projects\BetConstructor\BetConstructor\UI\Images\Buttons\open-32×32.png )13:50:12:50 —SPROC tagCtsNonRecursive: exit duration 1,3960821 seconds
But performance is awful, it is in average half second for one file(!), when no other HDD or processor or other resource busy on my PC this time.
Please, try optimize this procedure.
