I’m trying to install the home edition of Tabbles. After installation, rebooting, and trying to open Tabbles by clicking on Tabbles.exe, no icon appears in the system tray.

Also, this message appears ( or something close, anyway): "We’re sorry, Tabbles has encountered a problem and needs to close". Then a window opens up wanting to notify Microsoft of the problem, but the notification process hangs.

In the first installation attempt, Microsoft .net was installed before Tabbles. When the installation was finished, I rebooted the computer and ran into the problem.

After the first installation resulted in the problem, I tried to use the repair function and again rebooted. Same problem. Microsoft .net was not installed during the repair.

I used Revo Uninstaller to completely uninstall the program, re-installed, rebooted, and same problem. Microsoft .net was not installed this time either; I suppose its files were not included in the Tabbles uninstaller.

I’m using XP SR3 with latest updates, 2 gig ram, plenty of disk space, Avast antivirus, and Comodo Firewall.

What else can I try? All help will be greatly appreciated.
