Tabbles = free for bloggers – and Crowdsourcing

HELLO WORLD

Crowdsourcing

Today my bro posted this link on facebook: 8 ways to kill an idea.

Now, the link itself is funny, being being the curious monkey I am, I couldn’t help from digging into the site…which led me to find the M.Sc. thesis of the blogger and there I found this word I’ve been looking for a long time. This is the definition of crowdsourcing on wikipedia and the article sounds a bit “capitalistic”…

– How do we apply the principle of crowdsourcing?
In our tiny software house weâ??re bringing users on this forum page.

– Does it work? YES
We had our software localized in 4 languages by our community plus we have a small crew of beta-testers checking and writing on our forum everyday.

– Is it all about the “profit”? maybe…
Well, it’s always about the profit… depends what kind of “profit” one is looking for. At this stage, we’re not yet profitable, but nonetheless we deeply love what we’re doing. When you love something, one of the most rewarding thing is sharing what you love – and this is a very strong motivator. So, in this sense, we get a large  “profit” from crowdsourcing: we’re building a community, we LOVE THEM and hopefully they love us too.  Probably one day we’ll make some money too, but until then, we’re still getting a lot out of our crowdsourcing.

the more you give the more you get back?
Once again this let me think of the Balsamiq blog… connecting the dots is so straight-forward this time.

  4. Hey Babatunde!

    Thanks for the hints!!! 😀

There is nothing wrong with Nigerians…I’m Italian and we don’t really have a good name either 😀

    Hi Andrea,

This software is WOW! I am a freelance research consultant and an entrepreneur in Nigeria (yes, I know we have a bad image BUT I am not ashamed to be an honest Nigerian!).

I have so many duplicate files on my computer. I guess it accounts for 50% of my space. I have told my friends to first use a duplicate finder software to erase those extra files before using auto-tagging on folders with duplicate files. You may what to recommend OR design a duplicate finder for your uses. Definitely duplicate finder is a COMPLIMENTARY software.

Secondly, when I see products like this, I am usually concerned with the big bully( I mean Microsoft!). You have exploited some weakness in their system. You have to prepare for their threat – they like to own everything. Check out this link:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Add-tags-or-other-properties-to-a-file

Thirdly I went to your Facebook Page and I met 165 fans for this wonderful software (out of 400million users!). Encourage members to SUGGEST this page to their Tech-savvy friends and colleagues.

Finally Students/Lecturers/Researchers would really need this software. I want to do a video highlighting the practical benefits to this category. I would have transfer this video in exchange for that $30 license(no that $8 – you know we are third world country!) LOL!

  6. Hey Christian!
I agree on this: it is indeed targeted to professionals… mostly small companies (who don’t use ERPs and DMSs) or consultants and such – people who produce files and need to be able to cross-link them to several concepts. We’re also working on a shared feature that will allow users to share their tagging.
    Cheers,
    A.

  7. Hey Andrea! Thank you again for the license and I was surprise to see that it’s for Business Edition. COOL! 😀 BTW, I’m having a hard time finding out what it can really do..so right now, I’m basically trying to learn how to use it 🙂 I think this software is really best for businessmen or students who have lots of documents and projects 😉
.-= Christian´s last blog ..Download NovaPDF 7 Lite With Free License Key =-.

  8. Thanks a lot! Just fixed it

P.S.: it was not wordpress’ fault… it’s me the one and only silly-ass to blame 🙂
P.P.S: if you’d like to have a free license, just ask! 🙂

    Thanks!

    Andrea

  9. Hey guys,

thanks for Tabbles (using the 30-days-trial), but the “Free for bloggers….(link)”-Link is broken. I know you just started with WordPress, but thought it wouldn´t do any harm to tell you.
