Hi there, we recently switched to .net framework 4… it has a bunch of impreved stuff. The installation of the framework should take about 10mins, if it has been sitting there for 40 mins there is definitely something wrong…. the only suggestion I can give you is to restart the installation… Let us know if you still have issues with it. A. |

So I clicked continu and installer continu but then I got error message error 1001, Impossible to load the section DataContractSerializer located in the System Runtime Serialization verify machine.config is correctly configured. I didnt uninstalled the previous version of Tabbles but was trying to update it to the current version, by installing over it. Is this wrong? |

hey, My suggestion is that you reboot the pc and try and install using the Tabbles installer – it should also install the framework automatically… when you get the error 1160 try closing the application… let me know, A |

Hey there, 1) I’ve found this link: we know you need the Windows Installer 3… but never got a similar error before. Maybe this is the case? 2) we’ve just realized that the .net framework 4 is compatible with XP Sp3 and up… do you happen to have XP Sp2? Please let me know if this works! BR, A. |

Hello there, I digged a bit more and found that among the pre-requisites of the .net framework 4 there is Windows installer 3.1. What is surprising to me is that the .net framework installer didn’ give any error message nor tried to install the windows installer 3.1 automatically – this sucks! Please try this and let me know! OMG, this starts to look like a soap-opera here! I guess that the windows installer 3.1 is necessary to install the .net framework… but maybe it’s not to install Tabbles. If the framework was installed correctly (which I doubt…) maybe you can install Tabbles too. Please try this: - the installation package of Tabbles is in reality a self-extracting zip file. Extract it manually (with 7-zip for instance) and then run the file .msi. Let me know if this works… Andrea |
