We are glad to announce that, with the release of version 3.0.44, we are officially no longer in “beta”.
We think we have achieved good stability at this point, and the few bug reports seem to confirm that. There are a few open issues, as with any software, but they are rare and not serious (and they only happen on very unusual configurations).
Only our Outlook plugin remains in beta, because we are still fixing an issue which seems to occur when Outlook is used together with Exchange.
So if you had issues in the past, now it is time to give Tabbles another look! 🙂

We just released version 3.0.44 which makes it easier to tag Internet addresses. Now you don’t have to type a name for the URL, and you have a paste button to paste the URL from the clipboard. Here is a video to illustrate the changes:
The previous version, 3.0.43, also added an important feature for sharing: the ability to share a tag and all its children in one go. Here is a picture:
You can also share all your tabbles in one go. This is especially important for Tabbles administrators, who need to define the tags used by employees.
There are also some bug fixes in the last versions, so be sure to upgrade!
In other news… take a look at our brand new feature list page; you will most likely find some Tabbles feature that you did not know was there!
Hi, we just released Tabbles 3.0.41, which fixes two major bugs with the Explorer integration.
First, the small balls over tagged files (overlays) were not showing anymore:
Second, the Explorer context menu was not showing:
This happened for all machines which did not already have the .NET Framework 4.5 installed. (Our installer was only installing 4.0 which was not enough).
A rather embarrassing issue, but this is what betas are for, I guess. 🙂 Anyway, it is fixed now!
We also had reports that the Outlook plugin is not working for some users: it seems to hang at startup. We are working on this right now. The problem seems due to the presence of an Exchange server which is not available. If you have this issue and want to help debugging it, please write us at email@example.com sending the content of the log file Documents\Tabbles\log_outlook_addin.txt.
After we fix the issues with the Outlook plugin, we are going out of beta. 🙂
